A friend once told me she likes spanking! I thought it wise not to delve deeper into her special desire only I did wonder if it is the giving or receiving of the spanking in question. Maybe it is just to reprimand a wayward child, not sure if that works. In all fairness, spanking a naughty child has been around for many years. Susan does often threaten the boys saying; ‘You not too old to get a spanking.’ Normally, it keeps them quiet.
I watched a documentary of a lioness and three cubs and when they annoyed her enough she gave them a cuff around the ears which did send them flying. Nature has a way of taking us back to our roots.
Taking of nature. Nature does not tend to cross the colour spectrum as we humans do. Where would a union between a snow leopard and a black leopard fit in? Not sure if the black leopards would tolerate the black and white leopards. The snow leopard is normally found in eastern Afghanistan, the Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateau, thankfully they cannot fly to destinations out of their habitat. The black leopard is mainly found in Africa and Asia.

Why am I discussing this? Well, Matilda was telling me how the Australians tried to breed out the Aboriginals by taking their children away and giving them to white people, hopefully, to marry a white person and so on.
Small things are the big things, the good things only happen from the tiny steps you take along the way.

Our beloved earth is slowly unravelling. Climate change is taking its toll. February was the hottest February on record and they predict this year to be no better. In the future, someone will tell our grandchildren.
‘The people who had this planet could have changed but they lost everything.’
I know what you think, that this is just one possible timeline, maybe we do the right thing. I cannot tell you that. In our time humanity is too busy arguing about who is going to do the washing up while the house burns down. We just do not care enough, nor do the people who should be caring, our politicians. Unless we all face facts and change, catastrophe is going to happen. It is not too late, the future is not fixed but it depends on millions of people making billions of unselfish decisions and actions by people like you and me, stepping up. As humans, we forget how powerful we are, lives change worlds. People can save the earth or wreck it, that is our choice. We have to be the best of humanity before it is too late.
I am trying to get Susan back into photography, she has such a good eye and seems to capture life most extraordinarily. She has a way of making a memory through the lens, she is the one who gives it life. Without her knowing, let’s all always ask her to take a photo for us. Maybe in time, she will regain her love for photography. Remember to praise her photo-taking skills. I have attached this photo she took early one morning.

Talking of Susan, she has taken herself off to China for a week, talking about wrecking the planet! In all fairness, she is not a fan of Mothering Sunday and decided to avoid the whole experience and China does not have Mothering Sunday. We will keep her gifts and cards for when she gets back, no escaping Mothering Sunday.
In truth she is going over to kick a few backsides and get the new Merlin resort going, those Chinese are a lazy bunch. Hope she has a safe trip and enjoys the Eastern culture. We all love her and will miss her.
That brings me to my next topic; The rules of love. I have not thought this through but from my experience, there are 2 very important rules of love.
Rule One; Never ask too much, only ask what you would willingly give.
Rule Two; Show up.
To bring you up to speed on what we have been up to lately, it has been a while since my last blog. The pressures of work and I have been in writing mode on my book and a short story.
Michael has just come back from a long weekend in Finland, an extension of his birthday which he is milking to the last drop. They stayed at an Airbnb, with all the mode cons, sauna, hot tub and loads of snow. Did all that Finland is famous for. Snowmobile excursion, dog sledding, snowboarding, ice swimming and eating reindeer. They did manage to find the most northerly McDonald's and enjoy the fine cuisine that, that established restaurant chain has to offer. (Gallery of Finland images)
Gary is working hard but does complain that he cannot fly like an eagle when surrounded by turkeys, that puts Derek and myself in context. I suggested to Derek, we get him a case of Red Bull.
