I did it my way

King Robert

When someone passes away, tradition is when one chapter departs, another begins, and while it is a moment to grieve, as one chapter begins another chapter ends to carry on the family name, requires a full and honest heart. The truth is to have had an honest heart, all my life, mainly it is trying its best. This does remind me about something I’d learnt long ago, every stone has a statue in it, just waiting to be discovered, life is this way.

You cannot see your future any more than a statue trapped in stone.

And yet Chip by chip, our lives begin to reveal themselves until they are released from the block, thus we are faced with a choice to carve out a life worth living or to be carved out by life. I have always wanted to write my own story. As the years roll on I am constantly reminded of my experiences in life. I once read an article about our experiences in life. Essentially it said we carry all our experiences with us, we are the sum of our experiences. And every experience we had, every bit of knowledge, and every heartbreak, we carry with us affects the way we live life, affects the work we want to do and it affects the way we work.

Is water wet? No, water is neither wet nor dry. Wet is when something comes in contact with a liquid. When the water rolls onto the sand, the sand is wet. Put your finger into a glass of white wine and your finger is wet. I am sure you all understand.

Alex is visiting us and he asked for a snack, he did not want to fill up on sweets. Nothing special just a few slices of baguette, with butter and Prosciutto. Shows a maturity beyond his years, and must be a child of the Middle Smiths.

The roses are in bloom, the old saying of deadheading the roses and it will induce more flowers is proving to be true. Well in my garden it is. Why is this a thing? I researched this and found two answers, the first one written by a human and the second from AI

Human

Why you should Deadhead Roses

Besides the obvious – making your roses look better – deadheading offers numerous benefits for the gardener. Primarily, deadheading is all about keeping the show going: as blooms begin to fade, a plant’s energy becomes devoted to producing seed instead. This is a process which the gardener can craftily thwart for a time by deadheading little and often, allowing for an elongated blooming period. Deadheading can also prevent rotting, as wet fallen petals can stick to leaves and begin the process, so by removing the faded blooms before they do you can easily avert this problem.

Why you should Deadhead Roses

Deadheading roses encourage the plant to produce more flowers throughout the season. Roses are usually repeat-flowering plants, meaning that they can bloom several times in a year. However, if you let them form rose hips, they will think that they have completed their reproductive cycle and stop flowering. By deadheading roses, you trick the plant into thinking that it needs to produce more flowers to set seeds. https://www.gardenersworld.com/how-to/grow-plants/how-to-deadhead-roses/

Not really that clever as it just did a Google search for Why you should Deadhead Roses and put it out on the page.

Talking of AI, can you tell the AI from the Human in this clip.

You will remember fondly that it was Roberts's birthday last Saturday and Lauren and Robert took themselves off to the Lake District camping. Camping, I know, camping, so silly, we all know it rains every day in that part of England. Well after two days of rain, they decided to drive to Edinburgh, well Dunfermline, to be exact. Turns out this is where they buried Robert the Bruce. Robert decided it would be better in a dry car than a wet tent watching the rain fall and wanting to give Lauren a good time, decided to take her there. That boy really knows how to impress the ladies. England to Scotland for the day, from all accounts they enjoyed it, sometimes life is about the journey and not the destination.

As time passes I have found that I’m not a morning person or an afternoon person. there are a few minutes in the evening where I’m decent and that's about it.

Pricilla, Queen of all that she beholds, baked a typical Italian dish and I decided it was time to do one better. Italian chicken with tomato and basil. Would you cook with anything else?

I decided to do my dish in a pan, brown the chicken breasts and then put them aside. A dollop of olive oil and chopped garlic into the pan, left for 2 minutes then added the chopped tomatoes, basil and tomato paste. Reduced the tomato mix until quite thick, added the chicken, season and cover for 20 minutes on a low setting. Give it a try.

Ingredients needed.

3 x Chicken breasts

1 x Tin Italian chopped plum tomatoes

Big bunch of basil

5 cloves of garlic

1 tbsp of tomato paste

Seasoning

Served with cauliflowers cheese, Stir fry French beans in a tomato base and New Jersey royal potatoes, lightly roasted.

In that clip of the voices AI vs Human, the human was the 2nd, I picked the last one, how did you go?
