Italian-Gate Unplugged

Jenson turns 5 years old tomorrow, 17th May, it does seem like yesterday, we did not know he actually existed. On the day he was born we were not really looking for another dog, we had just said goodbye to Sam after 12 years. My wife’s PA saw an advert somewhere and told her there was a Golden Retriever puppy available. He was at that stage 8 weeks old and homeless, what could we do? We pursued a most sensible course of action and rescued him from a life on the streets, it did cost us a pretty penny but the quality is all-important for 'She who must be obeyed.' With our guidance and training, we have a fantastic dog who does not listen or obey, I am not even going down the retrieving route as he knows nothing about it. Happy birthday Jenson, hope you have many more but I am concerned about your trips upstairs, that could lead to your downfall and the street is not that far away. I will do as much as I can to protect you but even I am not the ultimate power. I must apologise for giving his name out to the whole world, you would think I would have learnt from Italian-Gate by now.
I am involved in cricket again, I know you would think 10 years of managing teams was enough, my son played the sympathy card and asked me to score as they would get 1 point if they had a scorer. I fell for it and must say I am enjoying the old comrade and banter. I would give you a better insight into how our boys are doing but that would entail names and we all know how sensitive some are, so let’s keep this professional and those who know me, will feel my pain. From now on you will be kept up to date with the silly mid-on and the bye's, taking a wide glance at the leg side and dropped catches.

I must thank all those who left messages when I posted my last blog but one, stating that it would be my last blog for the year, wanting to know why and would I reconsider. I am pleased I did, so thank you. To all my followers, you know my family and will, I am sure fill in the blanks. To my brother from Tanzania, great speaking to you on Friday and keep safe, Africa is wild.

As you can see I have continued, life is too short, not to share my thoughts and adventures, we must never be guided by the few but rather think of the whole.
I have another son who is living up north, name and places have been changed to protect the innocent and the fanatics. He is coming down in the next few weeks with his new girlfriend. Now if I left it there, you will all shout out, who is she and what is she like, sorry I do not know but will try and find out. He is coming down and staying with his brother, a delicate situation but I am sure it will all end well. He is a civil servant and works for a department in the government, that is all I can say, some things are sensitive to national security.
Anyway, moving on from the trial and tribulations of journalism into life. Morgan Freeman is a legend we will miss someday, hopefully not too soon.

To conclude, our garden is attracting more and more birds and they are not all wood pigeons and house sparrows, the odd robin makes an appearance and there are 3 blue tits that visit occasionally. We have a feral white pigeon and a blackbird, this is nature, sparse but learning.
Thank you for returning to Blogging.. We thought you were lost until 2023....when i write 2023 it seems so sci fi
‘she who must be obeyed’ is truly a softie at heart, although Jenson gets a firm telling off, we all know she gives him little titbits of food after dinner …
Great blog pops!
