Our lovely Granddaughter is off to University, yep and she is doing a photography course. Well, they use different cameras and the images are not as crisp but you cannot have everything. I do believe they are still black and white, let us hope colour does get a looking in, in the not too distant future. If you have a slight niggle in your joint or a funny lump, I suggest you start sending photos of the offending area to her and she can start practising her future trade. Two things you must observe, must be monochrome and you are allowed to shake a little when you take the photo, this will give it an original feel.

I have offered to send her on a real photography course with Canon once she has her degree in black and white imaging. It will be a good introduction to colour photographs and who knows where that could lead. With her new skills and X-ray vision, we might have a star in the making.

Just a thought, she did get her Certificate of Higher Education in Introduction to Health Sciences with a Distinction from the University of London, that is something more to consider if you do have an aliment needing a monochrome photo taken, will it come with a Distinction?

Talking of dreams and hopes, I am reminded of someone I know who is still striving for the impossible dream. Well maybe he is doing it on instructions but he is out there striving, no, Angela, not your husband, but he does have my sympathy.

That one man, scorned and covered with scars, still strove with his last ounce of courage. To dream the impossible dream.

He will fight the unbeatable foe and endure unbearable sorrow. He will go where the brave do not go, all for love, pure and chaste from afar. To this glorious quest, I hope he will one day find a peaceful and calm home for him to rest.

To him I say;

Go boldly in the direction of your dreams and live the life you imagined.

Our rising Cross Fit star, Lauren, has been doing her setups and jumps lately. Yep, actually came 11 in the European Championships. If you were to ask me I would have put her first, as the lady that did win only had 39 points. Well done Lauren, keep up the jumping and skipping, I do think you need to come down and practise your rowing. We have a very nice canoe, that has only been used once or twice. It has a small leak but nothing to worry about. If you do decide to come down, would you mind awfully giving Roobobs a lift, his mother will be so grateful.

We are in uncharted territory here at Tarrant House. Mother Dearest Darling has decided to take up SUP boarding, that is Stand Up Paddle on a longboard, for those who live inland. Went down to Halfords and bought roof rails last Saturday, all in anticipation of buying a SUP board, yes you got it, Stand Up Paddle ( SUP), takes a while. Michael has bought an electric pump for the anticipated SUP board, there is that word again, come on guys keep up.

I commend her spirit and Michael’s enthusiasm, just need a board and some calm water to go for a paddle. For those who are not familiar with what a SUP board is, it is somewhere between a surfboard and a boat, depending on your weight, they can get quite big. They do blowup, so probably fit into the lilo category. Michael did fly to Australia shortly after ordering the electric pump, not sure what that was all about.

The NHS, what can I say, the hypocrite oaths says do no harm? You all know by now that I have a dodgy knee. No, well it came on suddenly just before our trip to Cornwall, really painful but with no swelling. Cornwall came and went in a haze of hobbling and much red wine and now I have so many people giving me and my doctor advice on how to clear it up. Steroid injection into the knee, that can not be too bad, a dirty great big needle into your knee, let’s not go down there. Steroids, I have heard suppress the male hormones and give you man boobs, no thanks, I have those already and I have seen many a young lady look longingly at my man boobs. I did have a scan and that grainy image was not really helpful, so I am off to the quack on Wednesday. In the interim, I am resorting to self-medication, red wine. 1 glass every 4 hours and if the problem persists, see your doctor on Wednesday.

That is about it, Bank holiday weekend, the last holiday before we see Christmas.

Great blog pops! Wishing Mika the very best in her photography degree, some disposable cameras for Christmas will be in order!

I like your self medication , although at your age I don’t think you should be worried about any damage to the male hormone, I think the steroids might help
